Size guide for boys & girls

Little people come in all sorts of sizes. So to help you keep track of how they fit into Ted's world, we created this guide. It tells you how to get all the measurements you'll need and, to help translate those into Ted sizes. size charts.

How to measure height

There's no cheating here, so make sure they've taken their shoes off and their feet are slightly apart. Once they' standing upright, measure from the top of their head to the floor.

How to measure the chest

Raise their arms slightly and measure around the fullest part of the chest. Don't forget to keep the tape parallel to the ground.

How to measure the waist

Waist not. Want not. To get a waist measurement, with the tape parallel to the ground, simply measure around the narrowest part of the torso - usually just above the belly button.

How to measure hips

Making sure your child is standing with their feet slightly apart, measure around the fullest part of their hips and bottom, keeping the tape parallel to the ground. Just to check, that's hip, hip, hurray.
